U-PICK
GARDEN & ORCHARDS: (All organic and ready for picking in the spring)
Organic ( we are not certified organic, but we have not used pesticides or fertilizers on our gardens or orchards for over 35 years,)vegetables and fruits started at Schnepf Farm when we were a small roadside stand for years. U-pick is offered year around. Starting this fall you may purchase "fresh vegetables to go" in our restaurant. One of our wonderful employees will fill a re-usable bag with whatever vegetables we have ready to pick. You may get something new every week. do not offer fruits and vegetables year around (we grow them year around, but have enough for the RESTAURANT and school field trips.) But when you do visit during one of our festivals, our U-Pick garden and country store will be stocked with only the best. We do grow tomatoes, but only a few. We will be purchasing hot-house tomatoes from a local farmer to supply the demand. There is nothing better than a vine-ripened tomato. Upick gardens will be open on the weekends. Cost for picking vegetables is $1.50 per pound for whatever you pick
